Tracy residents who aim to help the homeless have called a town meeting Thursday night at a 10th Street real estate office.

Marvin Rothschild, a community activist and former school board trustee, and businesswoman Sue Langdon have spearheaded a new group of residents called the Coalition of Citizens to Assist Homeless.

Rothschild has worked to help feed the homeless in Lincoln Park and also to refurbish a motor home where homeless people in Tracy can shower.

Langdon, who runs Realty World Corral Hollow, 104 W. 10th St., where the meeting will take place, said there’s been an outpouring of support since Rothschild announced his work on the motor home.

The new coalition hopes to come up with ideas and find out what resources are around that can help get people off the streets and under a roof.
