The Junior cheer team from Famous All Stars cheer gym of Tracy recently brought home the 2-year-old gym’s first-ever national title.

The team placed first out of six teams in its division at the American Showcase Nationals, held at the Anaheim Convention Center on April 14 and 15.

The Junior team team members include: Malorie Bournazian, Alyssa Medina, Alicia Leonardo, Christyn Chang, Lauren Gandall, Jade Thompson, Caitlyn Hoff, Paige Martin, McKenna Martin, Sami Anastasio, Audrey Morse, and Alanah Rubalcaba. Coaches are RaeLynn Lagadon, Chelsea Fan and Mariah Soares.

Famous All Stars trains ages 5 and up, and sent two other teams to the American Showcase Nationals. The Mini team, coached by Chelsea Fan and Christina Whitley, came home with fifth place out of nine teams, and the Senior team, coached by Michael Campos, placed third out of six teams,

“I'm so proud of how far all three of these teams have come,” said gym owner and manager Michael Campos. “For it only being our second full year of existence and to bring home a national title is a pretty big deal for these kids. Each season just gets better and better and I can't wait to see how we'll do next season.”
