Mrs. Tyner died of chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder, a type of lung disease, on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Manteca Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in in St. Louis on Sept. 18, 1941, Mrs. Tyner had worked as a property manager, gas station attendant, waitress and Tracy Trans bus driver.
Survivors include three children, Chuck Whisman, and his wife, Bernadette, of Tracy, Mari Dowling, and her husband, Dan, of San Andreas and Beth Foulks, and her husband, Randy, of Farmer City, Ill.; and six grandchildren.
Also surviving are her mother, Dorothy Officer of Manteca; and siblings, Jessie Rae Conner of West Virginia, Robert Officer of Tracy, Joey Officer of Oakdale, John Officer of Lathrop, Jim Officer of Manteca, Sam Rehmke of Lodi, Colleen Oliver Alteri of Pennsylvania and Patty Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her father, Robert Officer; and a son, Kenneth Edwin Whisman Jr.
A celebration of Mrs. Tyner’s life will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave.
