Castro Sport Karate of Tracy brought home nine gold medals, plus a grand champion award, after the team traveled to Jesse Bethel High School in Vallejo on July 7 for the Quake City Open Martial Arts Tournament.

Four of the 10 competitors from the Tracy studio are members of the Pro CSK Elite National team.

Isaiah Coleman placed first in the age 6-7 boys point sparring. Also competing in the 6-7 boys, Adrian Gomez, placed third in point sparring and competed for the first time in the open weapons forms competition, and Nicholas Galvan placed third in traditional forms and competed in point sparring.

Anthony Gomez competed in the boys 8-9 point sparring. Kenohe Leonor, a Pro CSK member, placed first and was grand champion in the 10-11 boys point sparring, placed first in the 99-pounds continuous sparring division and competed in the 88-pounds point sparring division. Rafael Garcia, also a Pro CSK member, placed first in the 88-pounds point sparring.

Jolina Coleman won the 10-11 girls traditional forms and was third in point sparring.

D.J. Coleman won the boys 12-14 traditional forms and the 12-14 boys point sparring.

Jordan Fontanilla, a Pro CSK member, was third in the 15-17 boys point sparring.

Larry Garcia, a Pro CSK member, won the Kenpo Traditional Forms and the age 45-and-over lightweight point sparring.
