Boys golf: Bulldogs claim SJAA win over Lodi

The Bulldog golfers came up with a San Joaquin Athletic Association win over Lodi (1-1 SJAA) on March 27 at Tracy Golf and Country Club, 210-215. 

Junior Jared Finney led the Bulldogs (7-1, 2-0 SJAA) with a 38 on the par-36 course. Senior Shivam Swamy shot 40, junior Talon Simmons shot 43, sophomore Gavin Bean scored 44, junior Amit Grewal shot 45 and junior Dillon Ireland scored 52.

Sonora 187, Kimball 207

Kimball senior Reese Maxfield shot a one-under-par 35 on March 27 at Old River Golf Course, but even with each of his teammates scoring under 50 for the day, the Jaguars (3-7, 3-4 Valley Oak League) finished with a 187-207 loss to league leader Sonora (11-0, 6-0 VOL).

Kimball freshman Chris Maxfield shot 37, senior Jeremiah Salud shot 43, freshman Joey Watkins scored 45, freshman Neil McKenzie scored 47 and sophomore Mathew Jaurique scored 48.
