Have you ever been betrayed so badly that you can’t trust anyone anymore? Do you have the feeling that everyone you meet will stab you in the back?

For Aidan and Leta, this is exactly how they live their lives. Everyone Aidan once loved has betrayed him, a once-famous actor. His own brother even tried to kill him. Now Aidan locks himself away in his secluded cabin.

Leta, a beautiful dream-goddess, has had everything she loves taken away from her.  Now all she wants is to seek revenge on the person who killed everything that was important in her life.

As the book begins, Leta learns that Aidan is in grave danger. Aidan’s brother, Donnie, has summoned the demon Dolor. Donnie will do everything in his power to kill Aidan and take his fame and fortune, and with Dolor’s help, he can do that.

Leta knows that the only way to kill Dolor and to save Aidan is to go into the mortal world. There, she sets up a trap to trick Aidan into believing she is a simple bodyguard. Soon, though, Aidan learns the truth about Leta and about his brother’s new plan to kill him. With Leta by his side, Aidan vows that he will be the last man standing.

I love this book. I have read the entire series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, and this one is one of my favorites. She doesn’t make the book predictable, and that is what I love about it. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good action and love story.
