Qdoba Mexican Grill opens shop in Tracy

Qdoba Mexican Grill, a chain specializing in fresh food and handmade burritos, will open its doors Wednesday, July 13, with a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m.

The 1920 W. 11th St. location will serve up burritos, tacos, nachos and their signature Mexican gumbo.

Residents are invited to try their handmade chips and salsa on the house.

Downtown sports bar celebrates new name

The Hot Spot, a sports bar with a musical flair, is open in downtown Tracy.

Formerly Mr. P’s, The Hot Spot will celebrate its new name with a ribbon cutting at noon Friday, July 15.

Onwer Beverly Thompson promises the same great jazz and blues music on Friday and Saturday and reggae music on Sundays, paired with new food and an expanded menu.

The Hot Spot is at 809 N. Central Ave.
