The co-owners of Town & Country Café, Mike Trotter and Claudia Nicolaou, have expanded their breakfast and luncheon menu to include dinner service.
The couple said the idea came from their customers.
“Most commuters that come in on Saturday said they can’t be here during the day and they want dinner at night,” Nicolaou said.
Trotter said their goal is to be the anchor business that helps revitalize downtown Tracy, and he hopes other downtown businesses will join them by expanding evening hours.
Town & Country’s dinner menu offers everything served during breakfast and lunch, except for the Benedict dishes.
The menu also offers a variety of new fare, including seafood, steak and pasta. The restaurant also has nightly specials, including prime rib on Thursday and kids eat half-off on Wednesday.
Weekly specials are updated on the café’s Facebook page, Trotter said, and he and Nicolaou plan to serve beer and wine and feature live music on Saturday nights.
Located at 27 W. 10th St., the café is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday, with dinner service beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Flower Pavillion expands into tuxedo business
The family-owned and -operated Flower Pavillion in downtown Tracy now offers Selix tuxedo and suit rentals for all occasions.
Among the designer brands available for rental are Calvin Klein, Jean Yves, After Six and Ralph Lauren, in all fits from slim to traditional.
Michael Rose, one of the shop’s co-owners, said the suit business is a natural fit for the floral shop.
“We felt it was a good addition to our business,” Rose said. “Flowers and tuxedos go hand-in-hand. We wanted to make this a one-stop shop.”
He added that Flower Pavillion offers free boutonnieres with every tuxedo or suit rental from the shop.
The 98 W. 10th St. business is open 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Customers who can’t make those hours can call for an appointment.
