Buffalo Wild Wings is under construction at West Valley Mall and is slated to open in early to mid-January, according to mall manager Mike Donaghy.
Work began more than a month ago on the sports bar which is located at the former site of Pier One Imports near Best Buy. It will feature large-screen televisions, beverages and multiple varieties of chicken wings.
“Construction started a little late,” Donaghy said in a telephone interview Thursday, Nov. 15. “It didn’t happen as quickly as we had hoped.”
Officials of the restaurant chain originally planned an October opening, but preparing construction documents took longer than anticipated, Donaghy said.
The restaurant will occupy two-thirds of the building and will have an outdoor patio.
Donaghy said he has a few ideas for the remainder of the building but does not have a tenant locked in.

What's the deal with Elephant Bar occupying the old Chevy's building? Is that not happening?
And I didn't know about BMW. When's that slated to happen?
It will be the second outpost of the popular lathrop location.
They have very fresh and delishous sushi and terraiki style dishes.
And yes they will be serving alcohol.
Kinda bummed about BWW being delayed, but better late than never. It's going to be nice not having to go to Modesto or Stockton.
Now we need an Outback.
