Junior Matt Rodriguez got the win on the mound by pitching five innings of relief, allowing the Bruins (4-2) three hits and one walk.
Senior Corbin Lis doubled and tripled for the Jaguars (4-0).
Kimball earned a 10-0 win over McNair when they traveled to Stockton on Monday, March 4.
Senior Alec Barba doubled twice, tripled and had three RBIs. Senior starting pitcher Nathan Van Katwyk got the win by going five innings and allowing two hits.
On Friday, March 1, the Jaguars traveled to Summerville High for a 14-2 victory.
Senior Kris Bartlett had four base hits, including two doubles.
Tracy 4, Newark Memorial 2
Tracy finished in third place at the Dougherty Valley Tournament in San Ramon on Saturday, March 2.
The Bulldogs scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to overcome Newark Memorial’s 2-1 lead.
Tracy (2-3) pulled ahead at the end on RBI singles from sophomores Robbie Ramirez and Jacob Alvarado and senior David Miranda.
Senior pitcher Jonah Wesely pitched a complete game, struck out 11 batters and allowed three hits.
Tracy followed the tournament with a 5-3 loss at Alameda High on Tuesday, March 5.
Millennium 7, Ripon Christian 2
Millennium senior Austin Larson had three base hits, including a double, and batted in two runs in the Falcons’ 7-2 win on Tuesday, March 5, at Ripon Christian.
Starting pitcher Spencer Blackwell gave up three hits over four innings to get the win for the Falcons (2-1).
Liberty 8, West 0
Errors plagued West’s defense on Tuesday, March 5, at Liberty High in Brentwood. Senior Chase Martinez had two base hits, but eight errors meant that the Wolf Pack allowed six unearned runs.
Liberty (3-1) collected 11 hits.
West (0-5) has had a rough start to the 2013 season, including a string of losses at the Dougherty Valley Tournament in San Ramon.
The Pack finished the tournament with an 8-1 loss to Heritage High (3-1) of Brentwood on Saturday, March 2.
