Tracy High’s Wayne Schneider Stadium started to crash down Tuesday, July 31, as crews began tearing out the visitor-side bleachers as part of an effort to rebuilt the aging stadium.

The demolition will make way for the new stadium, including an artificial-turf field and all-weather track. Competition of the new stadium is scheduled for the start of the 2013 football season.

Those bleachers still look perfectly usefull. I am not quite sure why they are tearing them down. If they are still functional you would think they would find some way to save them and instead put the money into much more important things, like classroom related spending.
