The couple was married Feb. 10, 1963, by the Rev. Eugene J. Shea at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Gabe and Rose Marie met on Halloween in 1959.
The Martins remained active parishioners of St. Bernard’s until they retired to Oregon to be near their daughter, Maureen Osborne, and grandsons, Steven and Nathan.
They are residents of Oregon City, Ore., a community they chose for its similarity to Tracy, and are active in St. John the Apostle Catholic Church.
