Mr. Pereat was born Feb. 3, 1932, in San Juan, Argentina, and worked 25 years as a mechanical engineer at nuclear energy plants in Argentina and Texas. He was a member of Christ Bible Church in Pleasanton and a Lions Club chapter in Washington state.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Cecilia Pereat of Tracy; five children, Kathleen Jacobson, and her husband, Eric, of Sacramento, Angelique Pereat Kennedy, and her husband, Douglas, of Tracy, Michael Angelo Pereat, and his wife, Daisy, of Alaska, and Daphne Pereat and Jean Pierre Pereat, both of Los Angeles; a sister, Antonia Gimenez-Pereat of Argentina; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death were a sister, Juana Antonia Pereat; and two brothers, Osvaldo Pereat and Juan Manuel Pereat.
Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., handled arrangements. Burial was in Tracy Cemetery, 501 W. Schulte Road.
