All-league soccer teams from the San Joaquin Athletic Association and the Tri-City Athletic League will be showcased this weekend at St. Mary’s High in Stockton.

The Rivals Cup, hosted by the San Joaquin Soccer Alliance, includes two days of training, with a competitive game at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 10.

The SJSA was created by Lincoln High graduates David Wardell and Eric Martin, Class of 2005, and Will Martin, Class of 2008, as a way to give athletes more exposure to colleges. Their inaugural event in December spotlighted the senior all-league boys. This is their first event for senior girls.

Recent Tracy High graduates Brett Scheckla, Autumn Bolton, Mariah Serrato, Nicole Gasior, Rebecca Reinin and Courtney Allen were invited to participate, as were West High all-league players Lilibeth Torres, Abigail Crandall and Yelda Arghandiwal.

Tracy High girls soccer coach Nate Perry will lead the SJAA team.
