A trio of Tracy-area high school teachers will be given the Crystal Apple Award during a ceremony Friday, May 3, in Manteca.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will give the award recognizing “excellence in teaching” and “strong values” to Jack Eddy and Enayat Qayumi of Kimball High School and Perry Farrens of West High School.

The ceremony begins at 7 p.m. at Northland Chapel, 6060 Northland Ave.

A press release from the church states the teachers, along with others from Manteca and Ripon, were nominated by youth of the church’s Manteca Stake who attend the local high schools.
