It’s a four-day event, Monday, Dec. 17, through Thursday, Dec. 20, to be played in the Bill Swenson Gymnasium at Tracy High and the Steve Thornton Gymnasium at West High.
Four local teams, including West, Tracy, Kimball and Delta Charter high schools, will compete.
West High is the two-time defending tournament champion and is one of two Sac-Joaquin Section Division I teams, including Golden Valley of Merced, that went to playoffs last year.
Other Division I teams in the event are Franklin of Stockton, Modesto High and Enochs of Modesto.
Division II teams include Johansen and Downey of Modesto, which both made playoffs last year, plus Tracy, Kimball and Central Valley. From Division III are Pacheco of Los Banos, plus Manteca and Livingston.
Lathrop made the Division IV playoffs last year, and Delta Charter made the Division V playoffs. New to the tournament is Excel Academy of Stockton, a new team that is not yet in any league.
Monday’s games begin at 3 p.m., with Kimball playing Downey at 6 p.m. at Tracy High, West against Delta Charter at 7:30 p.m. at West High, and Tracy versus Pacheco at 7:30 p.m. at Tracy High.
