More than 100 competitors came out for water ski and wake board competition this past weekend at Eagal Lakes Resort east of Tracy. It’s the first time that the local resort, on a man-made lake next to the San Joaquin River, has hosted International Novice Tournament, or INT League, competition.

Saturday’s and Sunday’s event were the third and fourth rounds of INT’s Northern California series, with series champions in about two dozen divisions named at the end of Sunday’s events. Next up are the Western Regionals, to be held Sept. 16 to 18 in Red Bluff.

Results for the series, including rounds three and four from this past weekend, can be found at www.intleague.com/northerncalifornia/tour-standings.

I just watched a documentary that covered this, and other sports. It sure looks like a lot of fun.

We had a great time watching all of the skiing and wake boarders. It was a nice atmosphere, unlike anywhere else in Tracy. Very family oriented. The Eagals have a very nice place and I can't believe it is here in town .... well outskirts of town.
