Bob is one of several black kittens featured this month at Animal Rescue of Tracy. He is playful and gets along well with other kittens. Bob has been around dogs, but we are not certain how he would do with them in a home environment.

To help unite Bob and the other kittens with a good home, Animal Rescue of Tracy is offering all black kitties for a discounted $40 adoption fee during the month of September, which is half off the normal fee. The fee includes spay or neutering, shots and a courtesy veterinarian visit.

Animal Rescue of Tracy will take part in the Adoption Weekend at PetSmart from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, and Sunday, Sept. 12.

• Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group that has pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. the last two Sundays of each month at PetSmart, 2477 N. Naglee Road. Rescue members will also make arrangements during the week to show animals. For information: 642-4324 or www.animalrescuetracy.org.
